Scrape as much away as possible and rub a bit of fuel on the left over glue and scrape off .
Go to Clark rubber and they have the right glue for the Turf ...
Have fun ....![]()

Use acetone to clean up the old glue. rough up the gel coat with some sand paper and clean with acetone.. Sellys kwik grip will do for sticking main turf down. Make sure you don't over do the glue and its tacky on both surfaces before placing and weighting down. Once dry use locktite super glue for difficult to bond surface around the edges and it will never go anywhere...
Oh make sure you dummy fit turf first and trace out around edges so you don't over spill the glue..
Thanks Guys appreciate the advice. I am attempting to do on monday.
Cheers

Well the new turf looks great thanks for the advice. It is actually quite easy to do. I might replace the back now that i have the confidence.
I was surprised how easy it was to get the old stuff off. I used the mineral turps and metho spirits and a scraper with each one coming off in less than 10 minutes.
Next items to tackle for me:
Gel Coat Repairs
re greasing bearings on the trailer.
Any advice?
Cheers

.
thinkin about hydroturfin the XPL
what'd ya do about the holes,,,plug-em somehow??
hey thommo, where'd you get the turf for the XLT from and how much did it set you back?
I can just see it now..... we can run (DIY) sessions maybe at the narrows or someones house
Session 1 .... Saving your marriage How to fix your own Dings and Dents
Session 2 .... Trailers and You.
Session 3 .... How to holeshot and not go swimmer (a tb tribute)
Session 4 .... How to prime and paint bouys
Session 5 .... Mechanical Maintenance (seadoo owners compulsory turn out)
Session 6 .... Water Safety (how to outrun the dpi at high speed whilst staying on your ski
We may joke but seriously we could organise some group sessions would be good for the club. We could possibly organise as a social event type of thingy with bbq afterwards and charge a couple of bucks to raise some funds for the club.
I know i am not the only one who is dumb when it all comes down to the ins and outs of a ski! (i hope not anyways)
