    Xlt big drama

Hey my mate has got a xlt1200 2001 model with a 69e motor. The story is that the oil gauge stopped working and ran out of oil, so a jet ski place rebuilt tho hole motor bottom up. ski runs all ok until you go full throttle for about 5 sec then it dies down to an idle, It also has a bad flat spot at half throttle.
Now the jet shop have look at it and rebuilt the carbs for the 2nd time and replaced reed vavles still the same no diffrent.

1 i was thinking of an acl pump on carbys
2 maybe pistons in back to front (seen it done before)
    3 block in fuel system

Any help would be great thanks for your time.

Was the motor run in correctly after it was rebuilt? If you hold it at one rev for too long prior to running it in your more that likely to get a flat spot at that rev.

Could be all the above you mentioned.
What happens when it returns to idle, can you accelerate as normal after that?

yeah every time but only holds high rev for very short time its like its running out of fuel but it only does it above 1/2 throttle but runs fine at ilde and 1/2 throllte.

Sounds like the H adjuster needs a 1/4 turn out... anti-clockwise to me.

Look for it on the carb side, it is the brass screw with a "H" next to it.
