Thread: fuel oil ratio? gp1200r

Hey guys i have a 2000 model gp1200r

Been running 40:1 fuel to oil in it, still seems very smokey, what is the ideal ratio to be running?

32 to 1.......Repeat 32 to 1. 40 to 1 is NOT enough oil in a GPR engine.

I assume you have the auto oiler blocked off and are using a TCW3 oil.

sure do and yes, was running 30:1 been told to run 40:1 and is smokin out the place, 40:1 ratio still seems to be to oily and obviously not burning all the oil properly...
