How did you measure the speed you say it's doing?

from the dash. you get about 65 - 70kph depending on the conditions.

    Check your exhaust.
Cant remember exactly what it was but something can come loose and get stuck in there.
SR20LUX had it happen to him in his 1300. His performance went down the drain and was struggling to get to top speed.
Will get more info and get back to you.

No çat con' on that ski. Not on OZ delivered GP1200Rs either, only from the 1300s, and they fall to bits at about 100 hours.

i had same issue while ago on 1200, replaced impeller and went like a rocket, although you may not feel this, but its probably starting to have had its days, they warp, decraese in diameter, even in the SMALLEST un noticable in the human eye. mine was losing too, put new prop in, same size/brand etc..and went totally diff, and went put them up against each other, could not notice a difference.

    hope it helps.

ski should only be 7100 - 7200 rpm stock if you are seeing 7500 rpm i would check your impeler and wear ring sounds like you have a slipping prop. If you are seeing 7500 rpm carbs would be ok.
Also there is no cat in the 97-99 gp1200 skis great ski light and fast 230 kgs works great with few mods had one for 9 years was hard to part with and still miss it .
